It can be used for example to check MS Exchange availability or hard drive usage of a database server. By monitoring resource utilization, our users may pro-actively discover a problem even before it causes a failure.

Agents also provide http and ping checks out of customer locations. It could be useful to add a new monitoring in a important user location. It also may allow to check internal web services - e.g. pre-production servers, CRM/ERP applications, etc. Agents collected information is conveniently and real time available in user’s personal dashboard together with other data.

Web traffic monitoring

Monitis allows to collect, analyze and report website traffic. After incorporating a few lines of html invisible code into any web page, Monitis provides real time data of unique visits and page views, as well as other statistics such as from which countries were visitors, which browser they use etc. Again data is conveniently available on the same personal dashboard, which opens new opportunities for analytics and informed actions.

Multiple Notification Channels

In case of error detected Monitis instantly alerts the clients. It uses Email, all popular Instant Messengers and SMS for the alerting. Also the error events are available via RSS feed. Real-time snapshot status views also available as widgets for Windows Mobile platform, Mac, personal Google and Google desktop, Netvibes, Windows Live, and Personal Yahoo.

Reports

Based on recorded checks, Monitis provides monthly uptime reporting which is usefully to control SLA (service level agreement) in case of using or providing third party service. The most common use of SLA reports is to control service level provided by hosting provides.

Monitis also send weekly summary email reports in pdf format.

Other Features

Montis provide interactive professional dashboard interface, which could be use to have live terminals.

Monitis also provides tools for systems management e.g. SSH terminal to access Linux servers out of the browsers for immediate actions.
