With the shift to cloud computing, there is also an increase in data fragmentation, which results in low data quality and a lack of ROI from the next gen apps you describe. Ultimately this can have a major impact on the bottom line. 

I wrote a post recently called &quot;Avoiding a Cloud Data Disaster.&quot; At Informatica, our prediction for 2010 is that &quot;cloud data integration will eclipse both security and availability to be the defining capability that drives Cloud Computing success.&quot;
